Reusable Cloth Pocket Nappy

Washable pocket nappy, one size fits most from approx 9lbs/ 4 kgs - 30lbs / 14kgs.

With stay dry 'active charcoal' fleece lining and a ruched pocket for added boosters - choose two from bamboo or bamboo microfibre. We do not recommend 2 microfibre inserts so you will be given the option of 2 Bamboo Charcoal or 1 Bamboo Charcoal and 1 Microfibre.

These birth to potty one size pocket nappies have an adjustable rise to fit as your baby grows, with popper fastenings to fit from newborn to toddler potty training. In a range of cute gender neutral patterns.

Double gusset to catch poo!

Add additional bamboo boosters for night time or heavy wetters. Read our guide to 'understanding nappy inserts' to help you understand which inserts perform best.

All nappy yarns hold current Oeko-tex certification.

Eco Disposable Nappies vs Reusable Nappies: which is better

Why are your nappies coloured grey inside?

Why not? It didn't make sense to us that one of the most soiled things you will ever wash should be white! The dye used is of course formaldehyde free and certified safe to use.

How do I deal with poo?

Our pocket cloth nappy has an attached active charcoal inner but you may like to add a reusable or disposable liner if poop isn't ploppable yet. Most solids just roll off fleece so you may find it is not necessary.

Get as much of the poo off as possible before putting your nappy into the washing machine. Full instructions can be found here.

Do I need to soak my cloth nappy before washing it?

We recommend dry pailing your reusable pocket nappies in a nappy pailStrucketmesh bag or large wet bags as a storage system between washes. Fabrics in your nappies can become damaged if soaked in water for long periods of time and it will reduce the life of your nappy.

Do not leave any longer than 2 days before washing as pee & poo can damage the material in your nappies and cause 'balding' spots.

No need to remove all of the inserts just give them a tug out the pocket slightly when they are first removed.

What is the best way to wash modern cloth nappies?

We've got full instructions on how to wash cloth nappies but, in summary:

  • cold rinse cycle or quick wash in your washing machine with no detergent
  • We recommend using powder over liquids and pods, you can use bio at 40 degrees or non bio if it has cold wash technology and add some vanish / napisan / laundry antibacterial cleanser if you feel you need to.
  • Run the longest cycle on your washing machine, you should pick a wash between 40-60℃ (check care label of load, PUL prefers a cooler wash) and use the appropriate amount of detergent for the size of your load.
  • As eco friendly as we are, avoid using the pre-programmed eco cycle as you'll need the full amount of water to wash the absorbent fabric the nappies are made of.

My nappies are new, where do I start?

First off, we have a huge amount of interesting articles on cloth nappies on our blog page.

We recommend that you prewash your nappies and especially inserts / boosters before use. If you run a full cycle with a little detergent twice before using, this will enable your nappies to become more absorbent.

What wipes should you use alongside your reusable nappies?

Our premium wipes kit is recommended alongside your cloth nappies, plus a wetbag of some sort. It has a fresh wet wipes container and 25 premium wipes. Then used wipes can go into the nappy storage you use -either a nappy pail or large wetbag.
